Here is a little about Daya Nueva and its history: Daya Nueva provides good connections routes with the Autovía de Murcia by Crevillente and Torrevieja (45 km from Alicante and 87 km from Benidorm). Daya la Nueva, was initially awarded by Alfonso X el Sabio, along with Almoradí and his term, to the Castilian noble Fernán Pérez de Guzmán. By 1411, the place was formed by a fortified house, residence of the Lord; a Christian village of twelve families and a small Mudejar aljama that contained unsuspected treasures. From the 14th to the 17th century it was run by the Masquefa, Rocafull and Boil. In the sixteenth century (March 18, 1566), Daya Nueva became a barony, with his title being given to Jaime de Masquefa, and later in the Rabasa de Perellós, marquises of Dos Aguas, later he went to the Roca de Togores. At the end of the 19th century, Vicente Daysi Puigmoltó, son of the sixth Marquis of Dos Aguas, acquired the title of count-major. In 1974, Daya Nueva annexed the adjoining municipality of Puebla de Rocamora. There is no pear tree in the municipality. The origin of the fruits of his coat is not clarified. Some local historians attribute it to a time of bonanza and prosperity at the time he joined La Puebla de Rocamora, at which time his people enjoyed an increase in their agricultural products and the pear lemon, as a symbol of gluttony, was chosen to crown the municipality's shield. The three pears of the shield already existed before the union between Daya Nueva and Puebla de Rocamora, not which is the origin.
